I'm a genuine oatmeal cookie monster... I only counted, and as of January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of them yet? (? You can locate all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They are a few of the most popular recipes in my site cause they taste really sweet and comfy, exactly like conventional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined flour or sugar!
That means you'll begin with whole wheat flour (or fermented, if you prefer) and prompt oats (such as these... or those for a gluten-free version!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than traditional rolled oats, and you are able to find them at canisters right next to those classic oats in the grocery store.
I probably seem like a broken record by now... But cause I ? you and also want your cookies to flip out perfectly plump and soft, I'm reminding you ... Measure your yogurt and bread correctly, with this method or even a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I have and love. It just cost $20!) Too much of either side will make your biscuits taste cakey or dry, rather than chewy. This is especially true of this oats--they behave like little sponges and soak up plenty of moisture out of your cookie dough!
Ripe bananas- perfect for baking! Really like all of @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthier banana recipes!
Watch these bananas? And all of those brown stains? When it comes to baking with bananas, brown = amazing! I ? additional speckly bananas because they have a lot bright, bold flavor--along with additional natural sweetness! That's the minimum quantity of brown that I recommend. More is even better!
The remainder of the cookie dough's sweetness comes from another pure ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You want the type that comes straight from maple trees, which is typically offered in sparse glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake syrup and sugar-free syrup!
Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - sweet, chewy & only 92 calories! And they are so simple to make! You will not ever want a different banana cookie recipe !
The raisins add even more natural sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly soft ones are ideal... But if you have old, slightly dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it seems absurd to explain dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is fine!
Just add them into some microwave-safe bowl, and pour water on top till they're fully coated. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you let the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, this little trick hydrates them so they're incredibly juicy--and that makes a large difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Yields: 15 cookies
The recognizable cozy spices and plump raisins make them even more irresistible. They will keep for a minumum of one week if stored in an airtight container in the fridge --if they last that long!
1 cup (100g) instant oats (gluten-free if necessary and measured like this)
3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (measured like this)

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup (63g) mashed banana
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup
1/4 cup (40g) raisins
In a medium bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Stir in the maple syrup. Add in the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Fold in the raisins.
Using a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 curved scoops on the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired thickness and width by means Healthy Cookies - The BEST Healthy Cookie Recipes! of a spatula. Bake in 325°F for 10-12 minutes.
Notes: It is extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats correctly utilizing this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That's exactly the one I own and adore!) Too much of either will dry out the cookies and render them cakey instead of chewy.
Instant oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or minute oats. They arrive in huge canisters, just like conservative oats. They're not the ones in the tiny flavored packets of oatmeal. To make your own, include the same amount of classic yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 times or until the oats are approximately 1/4 into ? of the original size.
For the gluten-free flour, I suggest the following mix: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, 2 tbsp (15g) brown rice bran, and 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum. Most store-bought fermented flour blends (such as that one!) Will also work, if measured like this.
If your raisins are old, dryer, and not very plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowland pour water at the top till they're totally coated. Seal plastic wrap across the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you allow the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them they're really tender and succulent!
